Operator Problems
97% of private jet operators manage less than 10 aircraft and 62% only have one aircraft and they are burdened by empty legs (30% - 50% of flights are without passengers) and high staff and maintain costs due to low usage (most private jets are only used 100 hours per year).
Consumer Problems
No instant booking
Very expensive
Solution
Develop an application and distribute to small operators that wish to be members (market research indicated that small operators will eagerly become members) that allows instant booking of private jet flights per seat.
Target Market
First class, business class and preferred economy users.
Pricing strategy
Costs per seat should be lower than business-class and first-class prices.
Penetration Strategy
Begin with 2 -4 popular routes (E.g. Paris-London, Geneva – Paris, Copenhagen – Stockholm, Oslo – Stockholm) to test and update application and operations and reduce initial marketing costs.
Objective
Eliminate empty legs, increase jet usage (lowering operator costs) and lower the costs of private jet travel, provide simple and instant booking of private jet travel (increasing sales).
Current Value of Target Market
In Europe it is ca. 400 Billion Euros*
In America it is ca. 300 Billion Dollars*
8.5% CAGR - *this reflects business travel only and does not include the market value of first class and preferred economy.
Marketing Strategy
Instead of luxury, VIP and exclusive, this service should be marketed as SMART, EFFICIENT, COST EFFECTIVE.
